Lemon scented Tea Tree Oil (Leptospermum petersonii) has medicinal properties similar to Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) as an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic but with a wonderful fresh lemon aroma. It is wonderful for use on acne, is an excellent insect repellent, Aids in the treatment of head-lice and tinea. Its high citral content which gives it a nice lemon scent and also contains Citronellal, Citronellol and Geraniol making it an effective insect repellant.
This is a must for your natural medicine cupboard at home, as you can make up so many natural solutions for treating your family and maintain health.
Remember when making up your blends to mix it into a base – either an oil such as Jojoba, or a Moisturiser – at no more than 2.5%.
